Pilanesberg Hot Air Balloon Safaris promise a breathtaking and exciting adventure high up in the air! Imagine: Getting up before the sunrise while on holiday, enjoying a cup of coffee to keep the morning chill at bay – why you might ask? To experience the sunrise over the Pilanesberg National Park while floating silently above the ground in a basket suspended from a hot air balloon. The views are magnificent, and it is an unforgettable experience.
The only noise you will hear is the gas burner firing on occasion. There is no turbulence on a hot air balloon flight as the balloon drifts with the breeze. From your vantage point in the basket, you will see the extent of the volcanic crater in which the Pilanesberg National Park is situated.
The Pilanesberg Hot Air Balloon Safaris depart daily, dependent on the weather and a minimum number of guests. The flight is about an hour long, but this experience’s total time is 4-5 hours. We will collect our guests from their lodges or hotels in the early hours of the morning and take them to the launch site.
The flight is then an hour-long, after which the balloon will land in the park. Sparkling wine is served – a time-honoured tradition in ballooning. After that, we head to a lodge nearby for a delicious breakfast. The return transfers are also included.
